ACCOMMODATIONS AND MEALS

Participants are expected to make their own arrangements for accommodations. We have reserved rooms at the Sheraton Pasadena Hotel at a special rate of US$125 per night (single or double). Rooms are also available at the Pasadena Hilton, two blocks from the symposium venue. A small number of additional rooms have been reserved at the Fuller Guest Center at a rate of approximately US$65 per night. Participants should make their reservations as soon as possible in order to get the special rates; be sure to mention "Carnegie" to receive the discounted rate.

Pasadena offers a wide range of other accommodations, ranging from modestly priced motels to high-end hotels, but none of the lower price motels are within walking distance to the meeting venue. We encourage participants to stay at the Sheraton or Fuller.

The Sheraton is the main venue for the meeting. The Fuller Guest Center is within walking distance to the Sheraton.

Lunches and refreshments will be provided at the Sheraton, and their cost is included in the registration fee. Restaurants of every flavor abound, many within walking distance from the major hotels. Consult this restaurant guide for specifics.
