We encourage participants to register for the meeting at the reception. On the afternoon/evening of Monday, 18 November, there will be a reception at Santa Barbara Street followed by an award ceremony for the presentation of the 2002 Gruber Cosmology Award. A dinner banquet has been arranged for Thursday, 21 November. All costs will be covered by the registration fee. Please check the program for times. Note that there will be shuttle-bus transportation between the Sheraton and Carnegie for the Sunday reception. It will run between 14:00 and 17:00 hrs. You can also take a taxi, which should cost only about $5.00. There will be a free afternoon reserved for local excursions on Wednesday, 20 November. Here is a list of suggestions for local activities; more ideas are given in the Pasadena Visitors Guide. Of course, there are many more options if you want to venture outside of Pasadena.
